Rotary Club helps Marie Curie Cancer Care
25th September 2007
The Rotary Club of Bradford Bronte raised £750 at its Summer Ball and presented a cheque to nursing care charity, Marie Curie Cancer Care. Over the past year, the Club has donated over £4500 to various local cancer charities.
Out-going President Alison Whalley, a Partner with Naylor Wintersgill, presented the cheque to Marie Curie Cancer Care’s Community Fundraising Manager, Brenda Doyle, who commented,
‘“We were delighted to receive such a generous donation. All our services for cancer patients and their families are free of charge and we rely greatly on the community we serve. Support such as this is greatly appreciated by Marie Curie Cancer Care.’
Alison added,
‘I am delighted that we were able to make this donation and to raise so much for local cancer charities during my year as President.’
The Rotary Club of Bradford Bronte has over 30 members and meets every Thursday at 7.15 a.m. at The Midland Hotel, Bradford for breakfast followed by a speaker. Visitors are welcome. |
