Mind in Bradford chosen as charity of the year 2019

The team at Naylor Wintersgill have chosen Mind in Bradford as their charity of the year for 2019.

Annually, all of our team members have the opportunity to put forward a charity of their choice for us to focus our fundraising activities and events around for the year ahead. With this, we are delighted to announce that independent local charity Mind in Bradford has been chosen for 2019.

Mind in Bradford provides information and support for anyone experiencing mental or emotional health problems in Bradford and across the district. The charity offers a wide range of wellbeing services through a variety of regular groups and activities alongside ‘Guide-Line’ - a confidential telephone helpline and an award-winning crisis service called ‘The Sanctuary’.

Naylor Wintersgill managing director Victoria Wainwright comments, “With one in four people experiencing a mental health problem every year, our team are really keen to have a positive impact on a mental health charity operating in our local community. We’re looking forward to organising lots of great fundraising activities throughout the year!”

Helen Davey, chief executive of Mind in Bradford, added: “We’re delighted to have been chosen by Naylor Wintersgill, especially as their office is just around the corner from our premises.

“As you can imagine, finding funding is increasingly difficult but all the money raised for us is spent on our services in the district.

“Our mission is to reach more people in more places to offer support for those experiencing mental or emotional distress, and your help will play a part in this. Thank you.”

As a firm, we are extremely proud to continually support and actively contribute to the local community. Alongside our annual fundraising efforts, the Naylor Wintersgill team have also committed over 200 volunteer hours in 2019 to cutting edge remote reading scheme TutorMate UK.
