BREAKING NEWS: Off-payroll working (IR35) rules delayed until 2021

On 17th March 2020, the Treasury announced that the proposed IR35 tax reforms would be deferred until 6th April 2021. This announcement was made following pressure from the House of Lords in light of the Coronavirus crisis.

The proposed changes which affect people providing their services through a limited company would have placed another huge burden on businesses which are now struggling enough already.

HMRC are adamant that this is only a delay for 12 months – but we will keep this matter under review so that our clients are kept informed over the coming months.
