Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro!

A Naylor Wintersgill team member is taking on the grueling challenge of hiking to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, the world’s tallest free-standing mountain for charity.

Head of HR at Naylor Wintersgill Claire Featherstone will be flying out to Tanzania on 20th June before starting a 6-day hike to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro.

With a summit height of 5,895m, higher than that of Everest base camp, this challenge will push Claire to the absolute limit both physically and mentally. She will have no running water, no heaters to keep warm during the night and no contact with friends and family for the duration of the challenge. Altitude sickness is a real threat to a successful climb but Claire has put the hard work in, her walking boots are ready to go and over 6 months of training is almost at its conclusion.

Whilst taking on the might of mountain, Claire will be raising money for a charity close to her heart, Bloodwise.

If you would like to show Claire some support, please visit her Just Giving page here.

All of the team at Naylor Wintersgill would like to wish Claire all the very best of luck and we know that she will be doing all she can to make it to the top!
