Making it count for Mind In Bradford

Naylor Wintersgill have raised over £2,500 in 2019 for Mind In Bradford, the mental health charity which provides local counselling, training and wellbeing activities for anyone in Bradford worried about their wellbeing.

In order to raise funds for the charity, Naylor Wintersgill really got stuck in to their fundraising accomplishments throughout the year which included triathlons, bake offs and even a giant remote control racing track in the office carpark.

Mind in Bradford, who were chosen by Naylor Wintersgill team members as their charity of the year for 2019, provide information and support for anyone experiencing mental or emotional health problems in Bradford and across the district. Fundraising and Development Manager for the charity, Aanika Dhillon said, “As a local independent charity the generous and considerate support we receive from the businesses in our community makes a valuable difference to the work we can do.

Our partnership with Naylor Wintersgill has not only raised additional and much needed funds to expand our services and reach more people who need our help, it has also helped to open up an important conversation about mental health and wellbeing in the workplace. We’re looking forward to continuing our work with Naylor Wintersgill to help make sure that no one in Bradford faces a mental health problem alone.”

Managing Director at Naylor Wintersgill Victoria Wainwright comments, “As a firm we are committed to looking at ways in which we can promote an inclusive working environment for all our colleagues and one that supports good mental health. I am so pleased that we have been able to have a positive impact on an independent mental health charity working in our local community and we are looking forward to continuing to work with Mind In Bradford to further develop a culture where our teams know how to look after their own and others mental health at work.”

Naylor Wintersgill frequently supports and actively contributes to the local community. Alongside our annual fundraising activities, volunteers from the firm also donate 30 minutes of their time each week to provide additional reading support to young students in Bradford through the online tutoring programme, TutorMate.
