Online apprenticeship open evening held to support students

As the firm’s apprenticeship programme opens for three positions starting in September, Naylor Wintersgill have hosted an online open evening for prospective school leavers.

The event, which took place on Tuesday 26th April was open to all students across the District who were interested in finding out more about a career in accountancy or tax. During the session hosted by head of HR and consultant Claire Featherstone, students were able to meet and put their questions to current Naylor Wintersgill apprentice Cameron, engage with the firm’s training partner First Intuition, and meet director Colin Whitehead who leads the team who nurture apprentices within the business. There was also an opportunity to learn some CV tips and tricks to help them make a great first impression.

As a firm, we have maintained an apprenticeship programme for over twenty five years in Bradford to grow and develop our work force of the future and with three vacancies for apprentices starting in September this year, we were keen to help students find out more about the various routes to becoming an accountant and our apprenticeship programme. Claire comments: “As an officially appointing training firm of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, we know how important it is to develop, educate and train young people in the best possible way.  Wherever we can we want to support, inform and guide students into the right careers for them and so through this event we have hopefully given them the opportunity to explore apprenticeships and have inspired the next generation of accountants here in Bradford.”

Students, guardians and teachers wishing to find out more about our apprenticeship programme can register their interest by contacting recruitment@naylorwintersgill.co.uk.
