Here at Naylor Wintersgill, we strongly believe in helping our clients and their businesses grow and succeed – and that’s exactly what we like to do for our teams too. We’re dedicated to providing a supportive learning environment for all our employees, actively encouraging professional training, apprenticeship schemes and much more to anyone who chooses to join us.
We’re passionate about promoting home grown talent and as an officially appointed training firm of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, we fully support and encourage our colleagues in their ongoing technical and professional development.
We’re proud to have been offering an apprenticeship programme to grow and develop our workforce for the future for over 25 years now, annually recruiting at least 2 trainees to join us on a training contract to begin their professional accountancy training with us. Naylor Wintersgill has always had a long tradition of developing talent and in fact, our Managing Partner Victoria Wainwright started with the firm as a trainee and has spent her entire career here!
Our current group of trainees are studying in a number of areas including:
- Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT)
- Association of Chartered Accountants (ACA)
- Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT)
- Chartered Institute of Taxation (CTA)
- Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP)
- Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
- Business Administration (NVQ)
We also have a number of our team who are certified with the accountancy software providers Sage, Xero and QuickBooks. In addition to external training and qualifications, we like to enhance our skills and knowledge through continuous professional development for all our employees with regular internal training courses taking place throughout the year.
Our strong induction programme for all new employees sets the foundations of a long career with us; we aim to provide not only a platform for professional success but also to instil our strong core values into transferrable skills to benefit the wider Bradford business community.
The NWDevelopment Hub
The NWDevevelopment Hub provides our employees with ongoing technical training as well as non-technical learning in areas such as leadership and management and presentation and communication training.
These essential skills ensure our teams are supported in the best possible way and learn effective new tools which not only enhance their own career progression but also maximise advancement to our overall organisation goals.
If you’re interested in joining our team and would like the chance to train as you earn, keep an eye on our current vacancies page for upcoming training positions.
